“There’s a bluebird in my heart she sings of you
She shines a bleeding red and honest hue
She’d fly a million miles against the wind right back to you
But sing for you is all that she can do”
The second verse above came after recording as fairly simple rewrite, albeit a necessary one. Or at least it better have been being that it delayed the song nearly a year and a half. But why compromise? When you’ve got a song you know is good, it’s worth seeing through that it’s great.
A sort of sister song to Farewell, Goodbye; both siblings of a similar heartache. Where the older sibling ponders future possibilities, the road ahead and what it holds. Bluebird sits where the reality of the moment is. A static, and steady comprehension of sorrow.
Kevin Hackett once again joins the credits, providing the cover art. As well as the production alongside Aaron Marcus Fung, who went on to mix the track as well.
