Between the recording and content shooting, design conversations, and media preparation you think you’ve got your bases covered. Thats where I found I’ve been somewhat naive.
On Sunny Days has done fantastically in it’s first week and that has everything to do with all of you who are listening, for that I couldn’t be more thankful. But who exactly are you and how many of you are there. The answers are – 1. I can’t really know who all of you are – and 2. A whole hell of a lot more than there were before I released this song.
Why?
There’s a fantastic local band called Honeybear the Band, in which Colin Brumelle plays guitar. Thanks to my pal Jeff Zip, I was able to connect with Colin about the best promotional strategy to take for this release. With an inexplicable amount of generosity, I walked away much wiser, and having given my head a shake. Without boring you to tears on the nuts and bolts of the rollout. I sat down and learned how to use Meta’s Ads Manager effectively. Against what to my non-tech minded brain saw as insurmountable odds. It went off reasonably smoothly, and I’m happy to share were up to 240 Spotify monthly listeners (17x from before). It’s rewarding to see the song being enjoyed by people. And good to finally have gotten over the hump of figuring out a good promotional model. I look forward to tweaking and implementing it soon again in the future. But mostly I look forward to writing, recording and playing the music.
Thanks again for everything, and welcome if you’re new, love ya.
